In March 2021, the Addis Ababa City Administration launched a comprehensive, integrated, multi-sectoral Early Childhood Development (ECD) program called “Children: The Future Hope of Addis Ababa Early Childhood Development Initiative.” The initiative targets children at home, in schools, and in communities, creating a conducive environment that caters to the wide-ranging growth needs of children. The initial phase adopts a model of intensified support to 330,000 vulnerable families and children, while striving to provide universal access to comprehensive ECD services to all children in Addis Ababa by 2025. The initiative is supported by Big Win Philanthropy and the Bernard van Leer Foundation. As part of this initiative, Children: The Future Hope of Addis Ababa Early Childhood Initiative (CTFAAEI) is seeking to support caregivers, service providers, and policy makers working with children to adopt positive and child-focused behaviors.

Under Resolution Studio a creative agency that has been in the industry for more than 8 years, I was hired to work on the various illustrations that where needed to convey the campaigns messages. These messages include the need to stop corporal punishment towards children in households in Ethiopia, new born babies cues and how to deal with them and messages on how positive discipline can be beneficial to a childs emotional growth.

I created illustrations using, procreate on the ipad pro and adobe illustrator on the computer, for campaign billboards, posters, a card game for new parents on babies cues and a short guide/booklet for parents and also trainers at ECD. The layout design was created with the use of photoshop.
